Here, There, and Everywhere

This blog post may be a little bit random, but I thought I'd join up with April at Wolfelicious and post a couple of my favorite e-card memes. I know, I know, I do linky parties so often that you're probably sick of them.

I'm putting a poll in the sidebar for the next internet tool that I will feature, so VOTE ON THAT while you're here so that you learn some new tips for integrating technology into your classroom!

Here goes:

SO true. I love those two. Especially as a teacher, I feel like those fit the best.

I want to give away some freebies soon, but I'm not sure what people need or want! Especially since I'm not even sure what I personally need for my classroom.

What types of freebies do you find that you download the most?

In case you missed it, I made a fun Web 2.0 tool tutorial for Beeclip (which is absolutely F-R-E-E to use!) Please watch my video and let me know what you think! I'm going to start doing free web tool review every week if possible, so I'd love suggestions for that endeavor.

I want to mention is that I am only TWO Facebook page likes from THIRTY! Oh my goodness! It's blowing my mind that I'll have 30 Facebook fans and 20 followers on here.

Thank you SO SO much for taking the time to read my posts! You are amazing, and your constant comments and likes give me warm fuzzies inside. I hope that soon I'll be able to put something together to give back to you in return.

My Question of the Day (QOTD):: Should I pursue a Master's degree? I'm thinking of going for Curriculum & Instruction with a focus in Technology. Thoughts?

    1. You're welcome! Sorry it took so long for me to link up. I had a hard time finding that second one - I stuck it on a Pinterest board somewhere and lost it. You know how that goes! :)

In what subject did you get your master's? Did you do it while you were a classroom teacher?

    2. Sarah, I got my master's in reading and also got my reading certificate. I liked it so much better than my B.S. in Educ degree because I didn't do a generic masters by specializing in reading. Almost all my master's classes had to do with reading which is what I was interested in. I had just left the classroom and was teaching Title 1 Reading when I began my master's degree. Learned a lot. :)

  3. I am considering the same thing! I am nervous about taking the plunge since there seems to be so many teachers out there and not enough jobs. At least where I live. :( I am not certified except for pre-school, so I need to do that too. I started out college to be a high school spanish teacher, found myself dropping education and switching to something else (long story) and now of course years later I regret it.

I am new to blogging; stop by and say hi sometime!

    1. There's really the same situation here in Texas! A lot of teachers are actually losing their jobs because of cuts. I bet you could just go take a couple tests to be certified for Early Childhood Education. I'm sure you can do it, Kathy! I'll drop by and follow your blog :)

  4. I got my Masters in Reading about ten years ago. It was so worth it. I say go for it!

    1. That sounds like a good one to get, Tammy! Do you think it helped you teach first grade more effectively? Did you get your Masters while you were teaching? Thank you for commenting!

  5. Yes, get your Master's. I got mine during my 2nd year of teaching.
If I had waiting several years into teaching I think it would have been harder to motivate myself to do it.

    1. I'll strongly consider it then! I bet that's true. In what did you get your Master's? I'm thinking about waiting til my 2nd year as well. Did you find that difficult? Thank you for commenting!
